LV-Chat help
Answers to what people ask most. If yours is not here, the email at the bottom reaches a person.
Common questions
-
Switch Talk on at the bottom right and just speak. There is no button to hold down. LV waits until you stop before it answers, and you can interrupt it mid-sentence by speaking again. If you would rather type, tap the keyboard icon at the bottom left. Both reach the same conversation, so you can switch whenever you like.
-
LV asks for the microphone the first time you switch Talk on. If you said no, iOS will not ask again. Open Settings on your iPhone, find LV-Chat, and turn Microphone on. Typed chat works normally with the microphone off.
-
Open Settings inside the app and use Talk speed, which runs from slow and clear to brisk. It takes effect straight away, so you can adjust it while LV is talking.
-
Yes. There are several characters, each with its own voice and manner. Pick the one you find easiest to listen to in the app's Settings.
-
Settings, then Language. LV replies in the language you choose, whichever language you speak to it in. Right to left scripts such as Hebrew lay out properly, so the app reads the way it should.
-
LV keeps notes on what matters to you so you do not have to repeat yourself. Settings, then Memory, shows everything it has stored and lets you delete any of it. The conversation itself is kept on your iPhone rather than on our servers, and Delete conversation in Settings wipes it.
-
Switch Talk off, or use Mute LV in Settings to silence it immediately and keep it silent until you turn that off again.
-
No. LV-Chat works straight away with nothing to sign up for. Connecting Google Calendar is optional and only needed if you want LV to check or change your calendar. You can disconnect at any time in Settings, which revokes our access.
-
Settings, then Connect to Google Calendar. You sign in with Google and grant calendar access. After that you can ask what is on tomorrow, add something, move it, or remove it. Disconnect in the same place when you want to stop.
-
Please tell us. Settings, then Report a problem, sends that part of the conversation to us and a person reads it. LV is an AI and it can be confidently wrong. It is not a doctor, a carer, or an emergency service. In an emergency, call your local emergency number or a medical professional directly.
-
LV needs an internet connection and there is no offline mode. Check Wi-Fi or mobile data first, then close and reopen the app. If it keeps happening, email us and say roughly when it happened so we can look it up.
-
iPhone running iOS 17.6 or later. It is an iPhone app rather than an iPad one.
Still stuck?
Email us and a person will answer. It helps to say what you asked LV, what it did, and roughly when.
