GrowlMaster

Gemstone Dice

A set of gemstone dice, each one a different stone: see-through like glass, sparkling with glitter inside, with gold numbers and a crystal chime when they land. Free in your browser, on a phone or a computer.

Six stones, six dice

The first time you open this page, your six dice start out as gems: a ruby d4, a sapphire d6, an emerald d8, an amethyst d10, a topaz d12 and an aquamarine d20. They roll on Frozen Lake, a pale table that reflects them.

Real gemstone dice are cut from stone and cost a lot, so players often keep them for show rather than throwing them hard. These you can throw as much as you like.

Make the set yours

  • Change a die's colour to any stone you like, in the settings (the cog).
  • Choose the colour of its numbers: gold, white, bone, red or navy.
  • Give it another sound: crystal, glass, gold coins or runes.
  • Put a symbol on its top number, like a heart or a star.

Gemstone dice questions

  • Yes. Rolling, changing and keeping your dice is free, with or without an account.

  • The gemstone set is where new dice start. If you rolled dice here before, your own dice are kept just as you left them.

  • Stone dice can chip on a hard table, which is why many people roll them in a soft tray. These never chip.

  • Ruby, sapphire, emerald, amethyst, topaz and aquamarine, one for each die from the d4 to the d20.

  • Yes. They stay on this device, and when you sign in they are kept in your account for every device.

Now roll for a real adventure

GrowlMaster is D&D for kids and families, ages 6 and up. It runs the whole game at your table: the adventure, the heroes, the monsters, the map and the battles, with the dice you just made.

Growlboard, its soundboard, brings the tavern music, the dragon's roar and the creaking door at the press of a button.

Gorak, GrowlMaster's orc, waits at the gate:

"You roll well, master. Goblin's Cave is ready. Come in."
