Print and signage
Posters, menus, pull-up banners, window vinyl, vehicle livery. Anything a print shop touches, they will want the vector, and handing one over saves the email asking for it.
Once you add a link we'll generate the QR code for you
A QR code SVG holds the shape of the code rather than a grid of pixels, so whatever size it is placed at, it is drawn fresh and the squares come out with hard edges. That is the whole reason to take this file instead of the image: a code on a poster, a pull-up banner or a van needs to be large and exact, and enlarging a photograph of a code gives you soft squares that cameras hesitate over.
The file this tool writes is one path rather than one rectangle per square. A dense code has a few thousand squares, and as separate shapes that is a file design tools open slowly and designers dread; as a single path it opens instantly and moves as one object. It is usually the smaller file too, despite being the better one to print. The download is free and there is no account.
Anywhere the code will be resized, printed, or handled by somebody else.

Small and exact matters more here than large. A vector holds its edges at the size a label actually prints, where a resized image starts losing them.
Opens in Illustrator, Figma, Affinity, Inkscape and Sketch as a normal path you can place, scale and align. No tracing and no import settings to guess at.
One file that stays crisp on a phone, a laptop and whatever screen comes next, without shipping three sizes of the same picture.
Any address a phone can open. The https is added for you if you leave it off.
The code is built here in the page, with no upload and no round trip to a server.
The file saves named after the site it points at. It states its own black and white rather than inheriting a colour, so it looks the same wherever it is opened.
Drop the file into your layout and scale it as one object. Resist the urge to rebuild it from squares: the pattern includes error correction and alignment marks that have to stay exactly where they are.
You can, and this is the one edit worth being careful with. A scanner reads contrast between the dark squares and the light background, so a dark code on a light ground keeps working while a mid grey on a mid colour often does not, and inverting it to light on dark fails on a lot of phones. If you recolour it to match a brand, keep the code clearly darker than what is behind it and scan the result before it goes to print.
As large as you like, because it is redrawn rather than stretched. Size it by scanning distance instead: about a tenth of the distance somebody will stand at is a good rule, so a code read from three metres wants to be around thirty centimetres across.
Yes, the quiet zone is inside the file rather than something to add in your layout. That means a placed code arrives with the clear border scanners need, and it also means you should not crop to the visible squares when you position it.
Yes. It is a plain SVG with a single path and no fonts, filters or embedded images, so it opens as an editable shape in Illustrator, Figma, Affinity, Inkscape and Sketch, and places cleanly into InDesign.
Exactly the same. Both are drawn from one encoding of your link rather than generated twice, so the two files can never disagree about where the code points.
No. Your link is written into the pattern rather than into a redirect on our server, so there is no service in the middle that can be turned off. It works for as long as the link does.
If the code is staying on a screen at one size, a slide, a chat message or an email signature, the QR code PNG is the simpler file and every tool accepts it without thinking.
If you want the tool without the reading, the QR code generator is the same thing with both downloads and the copy button.
