DnD Dice Roller

Real dice in your browser: pick one up, throw it across the table and watch it tumble, clatter and land on a number. Free, with no app to install, on a phone or a computer.

How to roll

Your dice wait on the shelf at the bottom: a d4, a d6, a d8, a d10, a d12 and a d20.

  • Throw a die: press it, drag it up and let go. The faster you throw, the farther it rolls.
  • Roll a d20: throw the d20 from the shelf, or tap Roll once it is on the table.
  • Roll several at once: hold one die over another for a moment and it joins your hand, then throw them together.
  • Choose a die without rolling it: a short tap lifts it and puts it back.
  • Roll rolls every die on the table; Clear sends them all back to the shelf.
  • The score shows the total of every die you rolled together.

Make the dice yours

Open the settings (the cog) and change the last die you touched:

  • Its colour: any colour on the wheel, lighter or darker.
  • Its numbers: dark, white, gold, bone, red or navy, and carved into the die or flat.
  • Its sound: bones, plastic, crystal, glass, runes, thud, chips, duds, footsteps, pebbles, gold coins, wood cracks, leaves, a dark hiss, or silence.
  • The table under the dice: parchment, five felts, and three that reflect the dice: Prism Glass, Black Mirror and Frozen Lake.
  • The size of the dice, whether a die rises to show you its number after a roll, and whether dice get smaller as you add more.

Two d10: a roll from 01 to 100

Roll two d10 together and you get one roll from 01 to 100, a percentile roll (a d100). The die that lands on the left gives the tens and the one on the right gives the ones; two zeros make 100.

Both dice come to the middle of the table, tens on the left and ones on the right, so the number reads at a glance. Add a second d10 with the + at the left end of the shelf.

Your dice, just as you left them

Come back tomorrow and your dice are where you left them: the same dice, the same colours, the same sounds, on the shelf or on the table, showing the same numbers.

Sign in and they are kept in your account, so the same dice wait for you on your phone and on your computer, and at every table you run in GrowlMaster.

More dice, and the hole

The + at the left of the shelf adds a die of any kind, up to seven dice. The hole at the right end takes away a die you don't need: drop it in and it's gone. Changed your mind? Undo brings it back.

Dice roller questions

  • The d4, d6, d8, d10, d12 and d20 every DnD game uses, up to seven at a time.

  • Put two d10 on the table and roll them together. The left die is the tens, the right die is the ones, and 00 with 0 is 100.

  • Press the d20 on the shelf, drag it up and let go. It tumbles across the table and lands on a number from 1 to 20.

  • Yes. They stay on this device as you left them, and when you sign in they are kept in your account for every device.

  • Yes. Tap a die, open the settings and choose its colour, the colour of its numbers, and whether the numbers are carved.

  • Yes. Throw with your finger; on a small screen the shelf scrolls sideways so every die stays big enough to grab.

  • Yes. In GrowlMaster the same dice come to your table: tap the dice button and your shelf rises over the game.

Now roll for a real adventure

GrowlMaster is D&D for kids and families, ages 6 and up. It runs the whole game at your table: the adventure, the heroes, the monsters, the map and the battles, with the dice you just made.

Growlboard, its soundboard, brings the tavern music, the dragon's roar and the creaking door at the press of a button.

Gorak, GrowlMaster's orc, waits at the gate:

"You roll well, master. Goblin's Cave is ready. Come in."
